Problems:
The customer is a global clutch aftermarket manufacture, and their products need to be distributed to various countries around the world, so the inventory time is long, even more than 2 years.
The current problems are as follows:
1. The clutch will have rust problems during the sea transportation
2. Products that have been in stock for more than 1 year will have macula and oil stains
3. Mildew occurs on the bolts.
4. The current packaging method is too simple, which is not conducive to brand building.
Causes Analysis:
1. The oil layer of anti-rust oil is too thick, which causes the macula.
2. The anti-rust oil does not have the ability to resist salt spray, which leads to rust problems during the shipping.
3. The current cleaning and anti-rust materials are not compatible with each other.
4. The process of cleaning, rust prevention and packaging is not strictly controlled, and the packaging materials used have not been tested for suitability.
Improvements:
1. Redesign the entire cleaning and anti-rust program, using oil-free anti-rust packaging.
2.Use VCI-600E cleaning agent.First tank at 1:15, the second tank at 1:30, and the third tank for rinsing
3. Use VCI-502 ultra-thin anti-rust oil
4.The outer packaging of the clutch uses VCI+bag, and the inner packaging uses VCI+ paper as the backing paper.
5.VCI+ technical engineers will come to complete the training and guidance, and draw up SOP.
Improve Results:
After the clutch is stored in the warehouse for 6 months, there is no rust and no oil spots.
This program applied for more than 1 year, and there is no problem at present.
