VCI products used in the packaging are not dangerous for the health of people. Because VCI is a physiologically inactive substance. Typical service life is up to one (1) year and even longer in some cases. When the VCI packaging is later removed, all vapor corrosion-inhibiting molecules rapidly evaporate. This leaves the metal parts clean and ready for immediate use.

When using VCI paper, it can be helpful to apply a coating of rust prevention and then wrap the paper around the item you would like to protect from corrosion. Make sure that all surfaces of the component are covered and that no edges or creases are left exposed to moisture or air. Finally, seal the paper tightly with tape and store it in an area where humidity levels are controlled.

VCI paper should be stored in a dry, cool environment with little to no moisture and humidity. It is best to store the paper in a sealed plastic bag or an airtight container with a lid that can be closed. Extreme temperatures and direct sunlight should be kept away to maintain the integrity and effectiveness of VCI paper.
